Grant Thornton International Limited announced today that Barbie S. Bigelow has joined the GTIL Board of Governors as an independent director, effective January 2026.
Barbie brings more than 25 years of experience across governance, audit, global operations, talent and culture, and risk management.
She is widely recognised for her leadership in advanced digital technology and cybersecurity, and for helping organisations navigate complexity while delivering sustainable growth.
Barbie’s experience at organisations such as IBM and Lockheed Martin during periods of profound change will provide invaluable insight as Grant Thornton transforms the industry to lead on technology, deliver new services and attract the very best talent.
Chair of the board, Martin Geh, said that her practical, business-minded approach stood out throughout the selection process.
