London 31, January, 2019: Grant Thornton is relaunching in the Peruvian market, led by an experienced team of professionals focused on delivering quality service to clients locally and across the region. The new firm will be led by Juan Carlos Basurco and Mario Navarrete, who between them have a combined 30 years’ experience in providing key services to the Peruvian market.

The new firm, which will go to market as Grant Thornton Peru, will work across all service lines including assurance, tax, transfer pricing, advisory and business process solutions, both in the private and public sector. The team will leverage support and expertise from other leading Grant Thornton firms in the region.

Juan Carlos Basurco, managing partner Grant Thornton Peru says: “We want to develop a reputation as the firm Peruvian businesses can turn to, to help them compete successfully both domestically and internationally. By utilising the capabilities and technology of an international network like Grant Thornton, I have no doubt we will be successful.”

Roy Buddle, regional leader Americas says: “Peru has always been an important market for us and that commitment remains unchanged. To facilitate growth and development in our network in the Latin American market, it’s essential to have the best professionals on our team, and our new strategy achieves that. Having a quality firm that exemplifies our global values and can deliver high quality service, not just for local clients, but to clients of our member firms around the world, is extremely important. Juan Carlos and Mario have a strong track record in the Peruvian market and I’m looking forward to seeing the firm flourish under their leadership.”

The new Grant Thornton Peru firm ensures our continuous presence in the country, with high quality standards, following the termination of our relationship with the previous firm in September 2018.
