• Grant Thornton Windward Islands expands through merger

Grant Thornton Windward Islands has announced a merger with Patterson & Co, (formerly BDO) in St Vincent and the Grenadines, which has been providing quality services to business, NGO’s and the public sector for over 71 years.

Grant Thornton Windward Islands is the member firm for the four English-speaking countries that comprise the Windward Islands – Dominica, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines and Grenada. The firm is ranked number one in the territory.

The deal was an opportunity for Grant Thornton to strengthen its already excellent position in the local market and help it grow further. The merger will bring 17 new people to the firm, including Patterson & Co managing partner Floyd Patterson, increasing the total number of Grant Thornton people to 56.

Floyd Patterson said: “Our team look forward with great optimism, given our mutual driver of working with clients to strengthen their competitiveness in an increasingly global market place, to joining Anthony and his team at Grant Thornton Windward Islands to assist our Caribbean clients in unlocking their potential.”

Anthony Atkinson, Grant Thornton Windward Islands national managing partner said: “This combination further strengthens Grant Thornton’s market leadership position, not only in the Windward Islands, but across the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States, and also supports our focus, which continues to be helping our clients unlock and maximise their growth potential.”
